Prior to receiving my Master’s of Acupuncture degree at the Tai Sophia Institute (formerly Traditional Acupuncture Institute), I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Skidmore College. I am a Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the State of Alaska.  I am a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. In April 2005, I will be trained and certified in Facial Rejuvenation.

As a long term resident of Anchorage (since 1980) and because of my background in the healthcare industry, I am very aware of the health care needs of our community.

I am an active member of The Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association of Alaska (TAOMAAK) which is the state professional association for acupuncturists. I currently serve on the Board and hold the office of Treasurer for the organization. I am also a member of the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Alliance which is a national professional organization.
